How do I register my child for After-The-Bell?
Registrations forms are available to students the week before registration begins. Registration forms are located on the ATB table outside the cafeteria.
Registration is on a first come first serve basis. Incomplete registration forms cannot be processed causing students to miss the opportunity to be included in their desired classes.
Please complete all parts of the form including the registration page, the class activity selection page, and the medical information page (please note ATB does not have access to school medical records). Registration forms must be signed by the parent/guardian and student. Students will not be accepted into the After-The-Bell program without a parent/guardian signature.
Students may register for one, two, or all three days of a cycle. Students must select two activities each day from 3-4:00pm and from 4-5:00pm OR a double session from 3-5:00pm. Students must participate in the entire program from 3-5:00pm.
Students must list their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices for activities. ATB staff makes every effort to provide students with their first choice of activity, however due to the volume of students involved in ATB that is not always possible.

When is registration?
Information on registration dates is located on the registration form, the website homepage, and will also be announced the week before registration begins on the KMS daily announcements.
What if my child submitted a completed registration form but did not receive an assignment letter?
Check with the After-The-Bell office in C106 or call (610)268-5889 if your child turned in a completed registration form and did not receive an assignment letter. Assignment letters are generally distributed to participating students the week following registration.
Why didn’t I get my first choice of activity?
The ATB staff makes every effort to provide students with their first choice of activity, however, many factors impact on the scheduling process such as:
Registration is on a first come first serve basis.
Each activity is limited depending upon the nature of the activity.
Many activities fill within the first 15 minutes of registration.
Turning in an incomplete form may cause students to miss the opportunity to be included in their desired activity.
What happens in inclement weather?
The After-The-Bell Program is cancelled if the Kennett Consolidated School District is closed or has cancelled it’s after- school activities. Cancelled days will NOT be made up.
Students will be informed during school by announcement if after-school activities are cancelled due to inclement weather.
Volunteers will receive a telephone call or email as soon as the school district and/or After-The-Bell determines that the program will be cancelled.
Students, Parents, and Volunteers can also call the KCSD Transportation hotline at (610)444-7456 for up- to- date information on school closings or cancellation of after-school activities.
Those subscribing to Bottom of the Book bag can receive this information through their email system as well.
Who do I call if my child takes After-The-Bell bus transportation and is late getting home?
Please be aware that the After-The-Bell bus services are separate from the KCSD Transportation Department. Any ATB transportation questions/concerns will be handled by the Managing Director. Please call the After-The-Bell office at (610)268-5889. If you have an urgent transportation issue you will be provided with an emergency telephone number.
