Volunteer

After-the-Bell is staffed by more than 100 volunteers each year who share their time and interests with students. Activity sessions run for 6 weeks each in the fall, winter and spring, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 3–5pm.

Volunteers provide a safe, supervised environment where students can enrich their education, learn new skills, and strengthen their self-image through fun, adult-monitored activities. By volunteering you will be positively impacting the lives of those students who may otherwise have nowhere to go after school is dismissed and before their parents get home from work.

Volunteer Opportunities

By volunteering for After-The-Bell you will be positively impacting the lives of middle school students in our community while enriching your own. You will serve as a positive role-model to help children learn new skills, try new hobbies, and gain self-confidence.

Kennett After-School Association (KASA) Volunteers

Volunteers can also help the Kennett After-School Association, the 501(c)(3) non-profit that makes After-The-Bell possible, by serving on the Board of Directors or on a committee that include Finance, Program, Fundraising, Special Events, Marketing and Information Technology. KASA also runs the popular ‘A Taste of Kennett’ event, an annual fundraiser for After-The-Bell.

Small Time Commitment, Big Impact

Volunteers can donate as little as 1 hour a week for 6 short weeks. A few hours of your time can make a huge difference in the life of a young person. It can also make a huge difference in YOUR life.
